Having been born 7 weeks premature in a refugee camp in Thailand, I did not receive adequate health care until the age of 5, a few years after arriving in the United States. Ever since then, I always thought “being sick” and “not feeling well” was normal. I was told my conditions were due to me being premature and things I would “have to live with”. This is when I decided to become a doctor and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Medical Studies.

After having applied to a dozen medical schools and was waiting to take my MCAT’s, I began working at a chiropractic office 15+ years ago. I thought this was just going to be a temporary job but to my surprise, I learned the true meaning of health and how to obtain and sustain it through chiropractic care. I learned that chiropractic care is about removing nerve interference to allow the nervous system to function at its highest potential in order to thrive!

Within just 6 months of working there, I ended up cancelling my medical school applications and made the decision to become a DC, Doctor of Chiropractic, instead of an MD. I knew this is the way to help others get well as opposed to keeping them sick. I have not looked back and am now in private practice.

I am excited to begin and be a part of YOUR journey towards living well.

Yours in health,

Dr. Mary Wiggins, DC
